Sitting Volleyball is gaining traction in Canada. And this year the country is hosting the last qualifying tournament for Tokyo 2020.
The most important event of the year so far for the Canadian Girls. In Halifax five great teams will fight to win this long-dreamed passport stamp.
This tournament, running from Feb. 26 to Feb. 29, will result in the gold-medalist team going to the Paralympics in Tokyo this coming summer.
The teams participating in this year’s Paralympic Qualifier are Canada, Ukraine, Slovenia, Finland and Germany. Pool play starts on Feb. 26 with games scheduled for 11am, 1pm, 5pm, and 7pm. The semi-finals will be taking place on Friday, Feb. 28 and finals on Saturday, Feb. 29.
The Canada team will be the only PanAmerica team in this event and we will be supporting them to take their tickets to Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games.
