Beach ParaVolley continued to build momentum across the Americas during the recent “Sweet Home Alabama – Beach Fest,” held from May 1–3 in Gulf Shores.

The event featured three men’s teams and two women’s teams competing alongside major volleyball events, including the NCAA Division I Beach Volleyball National Championship and youth competitions organized by USA Volleyball. The tournament provided an important opportunity to further promote the development and visibility of Beach ParaVolley within the region.

The competition received support from World ParaVolley and included representation from ParaVolley Pan America through its President, Joe Campbell, and Coaches Commissioner, Fernando Lages Guimarães.

Also actively participating throughout the event was World ParaVolley Athletes Representative Nicky Nieves, who engaged with athletes and organizers during the competition.

ParaVolley Pan America celebrates the enthusiasm demonstrated throughout the tournament and the growing interest in expanding Beach ParaVolley opportunities across the continent, strengthening competition, inclusion and community throughout the sport.

Additionally, the United States will continue to play an important role in ParaVolley activity across the region in the coming weeks with the inaugural USAV Sitting Cup in Orlando, bringing together several of the world’s top teams in Sitting Volleyball ahead of the 2026 World ParaVolley World Championship.
