In the men’s competition, Peru, Brazil, the United States, Canada and Argentina have already qualified. The sixth and final place remains open, with Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Venezuela in contention. ParaVolley Pan America will announce further details on how the final qualification position will be determined.

With the teams taking shape, Lima 2027 will offer athletes across the Americas an opportunity to compete on one of the continent’s biggest Para sport stages. For national programmes, it will also be an important opportunity to measure their progress, gain major-event experience and continue strengthening Sitting Volleyball throughout the region.
The expansion of the women’s competition is particularly significant, creating a larger field and more opportunities for women’s Sitting Volleyball to grow and gain visibility at a major multi-sport event.
Beyond Lima
The Lima 2027 Parapan American Games will also be an important milestone on the road toward the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. But first comes Lima. With one year to go, the countdown has begun for an edition that will bring together 12 national teams and another important opportunity to showcase the growth of Sitting Volleyball across the Americas.
