World ParaVolley and FIVB together
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and World ParaVolley have teamed up for the first time to explore cooperative opportunities in the following disciplines: indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, snow volleyball, sitting volleyball and beach ParaVolley.
Beach ParaVolley in USA
USA Volleyball has committed itself to the relatively new discipline of Beach ParaVolley (Standing) that could ultimately see additional Team USA athletes competing at the Paralympic Games. The USA Volleyball Board of Directors recently voted to confirm its designation as the official national federation for Beach ParaVolley.
World ParaVolley (WPV), the international federation for Paralympic volleyball, is working with the International Paralympic Committee to add Beach ParaVolley to the Paralympic Games by the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics. The sport has been gaining popularity where teams have been competing regularly in Asia/Oceania since 2007.

IPC announces Paris 2024 sports programme
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has confirmed that the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games sports programme will remain the same as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics with 22 sports included.
The IPC Governing Board’s decision was taken at a meeting in London on Friday (25 January).
The 22 sports that will be included are: athletics, archery, badminton, blind football, boccia, canoe, cycling, equestrian, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis.
History set to made - First Beach ParaVolley World
The World ParaVolley is set to stage the first ever Beach ParaVolley (Standing) World Series event with the 2019 Pingtan Beach World Series Open set to take place on 9-12 May 2019 in Pingtan, Fuzhou, China.
In a bid to be a Paralympic sport come the 2028 Los Angeles games, World ParaVolley will focus its international beach events on Beach ParaVolley (Standing)
